The Kingman National Guard Armory is located at 111 S Main Street in Kingman, Kansas. It was built in 1937 and is 1 of 3 armories built in Kansas prior to WWII. It was the first armory in Kansas to be built as both an armory and a community center.
There are many features that make the Armory a fascinating place to visit, such as 2 Civil War naval cannons outside the East entrance, which were placed in 1937, and a Sherman tank that represents that Tank Battalion that served as the Guard unit in Kingman during the Korean War.
The Armory was placed on the National Historic Registry in 2004. It is able to be rented for events (just like yours!) throughout the year.
